Tarangire
Overview:
Located in northern Tanzania, Tarangire National Park is a hidden gem that offers a rich safari experience with fewer crowds. Covering 2,850 km², the park is famous for its large elephant herds, iconic baobab trees, and diverse wildlife. Unlike the Serengeti, Tarangire is a more intimate setting, offering an authentic and off-the-beaten-path safari experience.
The Tarangire River serves as the park’s lifeline, attracting thousands of animals during the dry season. It is one of the few parks where visitors can see the rare fringe-eared oryx and greater kudu.
