4-Day Wildebeest Migration Safari: Tarangire, Ngorongoro Crater, and Lake Many

Welcome to Arusha, the safari capital of Tanzania, located at the foot of Mount Meru. Arusha serves as the perfect starting point for exploring northern Tanzania’s national parks. Upon arrival, you’ll settle in at Corridor Spring Hotel or a similar accommodation. Take time to relax and prepare for the adventure ahead.

After breakfast, meet your guide for a briefing before heading to Tarangire National Park with packed lunch boxes. Known for its massive baobab trees and large herds of elephants, Tarangire offers excellent game viewing opportunities. Spend the morning on a game drive, spotting wildlife such as lions, giraffes, and zebras. In the late afternoon, proceed to Mto wa Mbu for overnight camping.

After breakfast, embark on a safari to Lake Manyara National Park, famous for its tree-climbing lions and vibrant birdlife. The park’s western boundary is defined by the dramatic Rift Valley escarpment, while the alkaline Lake Manyara lies to the east, attracting flocks of flamingos and other waterbirds. After an exciting day of wildlife exploration, return to Mto wa Mbu for another night of camping.

Begin your day with an early drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. After passing through the Loduare Gate, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site often referred to as the “Garden of Eden.” This natural amphitheater is home to the Big Five: lions, leopards, elephants, buffalo, and rhinos. Enjoy a full-day game drive before returning to Arusha for overnight accommodation.
